"We were in the Ruhrpott for a week, and chose to base ourselves in Essen. The first thing we noticed was the number of sushi places, and after a bit of a scout around and checking here on Trip Advisor we plumped for Moki Moki....As it was a Sunday evening (add to that, Boxing Day evening) the restaurant was pretty quiet, but we were not the only ones there. In a way this was great as we were attended to pretty quickly and went for the all you can eat option the Eating Running Deluxe at 17.80 Euros per person. This option gave you the option of having anything from the conveyor belt (in German, Laufband) as well as six rounds of five dishes per person from an a la carte list. There were around a hundred dishes to choose from, all of which were generously portioned. The tempura for example had half a dozen prawns, a far cry from the couple you 'd get in London with a similar all you can eat deal. The dishes were varied, and my partner and I picked a good selection for our total of fifty items from the list. The dishes were served promptly, the wait staff were friendly and attentive, and drinks were also reasonably priced. We took a couple of dishes from the Laufband, but the truth is that you don 't really need to. Next time and there will be a next time as we will be in the city again next month we will try and work out way through the six rounds! Given that we managed to make it to the fifth round, I can honestly say that we had more than enough to facilitate a slow amble back to the hotel!"
