"We have just returned from a week in beautiful Madeira and as we sometimes use trip advisor reviews when eating out feel we should leave this excellent restaurant a review. During the week away we visited a number of restaurants in the island and this was definitely the best. My wife and I had the fixed price three course menu which was labelled as gluten free but available to everyone. Sardines on bruschetta starter, mango sorbet, steak and peppercorn sauce for main with a very generous and varied portion of side vegetables and a beautiful passion fruit cheesecake for desert, not forgetting a decent size glass of wine. This was around €21 and compared with other meals out seemed excellent value for money. My children chose from the a la carte menu which cost a little more but I was pleased the waiter gave them a complimentary mango sorbet after their starter so they didn’t feel left out. We were also given some of their local Bolo do caco garlic bread which was a kind gesture. The restaurant was nice and cool with the air conditioning, calm music playing and spotlessly clean. The waiter was super friendly and professional and attentive. If we were in Madeira for a longer period we would definitely go back again."
