"Tried couple of items. Menu is good. I felt the Millet masala dosa had too much oil which I took as parcel. Kuzhi Paniyaram is crispy but couple of pieces of Ginger, Onion, coconut would have added more taste in it. Thattu millet Idli is soft and good. Neer dosai justifies the taste but the side dish given for this is not great. Chutneys are all good and good varieties. Sambhar tasted really good. One good thing is the competitive prices they keep which is really good for families pocket friendliness. Overall it's a good experience. Thanks ."

"One of the classic breakfast eateries of Chennai. I visited the place on a weekday around 7.20 am but still there was a crowd waiting outside.<br/ They serve around 15 ppl at a time and they follow the 'kalyana pandhi ' style of serving. Now let 's get down to the food. The banana leaf is spread out and they bring out the hot and delicious Pongal first. Two generous ladles of Pongal is served and then coconut chutney and sambar are poured over the Pongal. All mixed together gives a brilliant taste.<br/ Then they bring the piping hot idlis and vadas out. I had 2 idlis and 3 vadas. The idlis were very soft and ghee was poured over them as well. Vadas were super crispy and soft on the inside. Ask for the Getti Chutney, Podi and Kaara Chutney to get the various combinations for the idlis. (Getti Chutney and Podi are extra charges)<br/ Then you can polish off the meal with a very strong filter coffee. When you come out of the place you do not feel like you visited a restaurant. But you feel like you had breakfast at a relatives place. The traditional nature of the food and the serving style makes you feel warm on the inside. Never change Rayar 's Mess.<br/ <br/ Pick of the Meal : Pongal with Sambar and Coconut Chutney. Special mention to the Podi as well.<br/ <br/ Cost : Rs.145 only. "Being at a prime location and so much of a crowd, they should provide a good customer experience. But a BIG No . Visited on Sunday morning for breakfast. The waiting time even for a plate of idli is around 20-25 mins and they won 't provide all items in mini tiffin, when asked they respond rudely asking to eat the dish first which is on our plate. After a big wait for my dosai, which is part of mini tiffin, came but with half maavu in it (pls see the pic). Got so furious and asked them why we aren 't provided good food for the money we pay. No proper response. Finally I had to repeatedly beg for the mini coffee which was also provided late. I don 't recommend this hotel as it has already lost its professionalism and focussed more on money."

"This is one of the few places in OMR that provides consistent food quality. At the end of the day we all want to have some predictability in the food taste. No one wants to have the same food taste different at different times. Sangeetha provides that predictability. Ambience is good. Place is spacious and service is prompt. Menu is satisfactory and gives a good choice of items for vegetarians. I can blindly recommend this place."

"This chaat shop has all varieties of chaats as well as puffs, sandwiches and many more things. It's a really good place to have a cheap and quick tummy re filling.<br/ <br/ I've had a few chaats and Cheese Puffs from here in the past. Everything tastes fine and nice except for the spice factor. Most of the items served here are relatively spicier than usual. Also, the Cheese Puffs here can be made better if it is less spicier and the cheese on the puffs is heated before being served.<br/ <br/ Food 3.5/5<br/ Ambience 2/5<br/ Service 3/5<br/ VFM 4/5"
