"Wow!! Such great friendly service Waitress was so sweet. She checked on us,refilled out water and checked to see if we were ready for each part of the meal. First time having wonton soup it was awesome. Spring rolls and egg rolls were delicious and...the main meal including sweet and sour chicken was to die for!ill be back and recommend this place."

"After hearing positive comments about this restaurant, I thought we would give this rather new restaurant a try. Right off the mark, I will disclose that we have been long time fans of Fans (on Windmill.) In Halifax, my go to Chinese food is prepared at the Great Wall by Patrick.Located in the former KFC location on Wyse, just north of the Macdonald bridge, Heng Fung opened about a year ago. There is seating for about fifty. Last evening there were about eight others at tables and about three waiting for takeouts. There was only one wait staff doing serving, taking orders and payments. We chose a table which was cleared before we sat down. After about a ten minute wait, I went searching for a menu. It was another ten or fifteen minutes before an order was taken. Meanwhile, other customers were arriving, takeouts were being picked up and the phone was ringing incessantly. I admire the waiter of all trades, a young girl, who managed to keep her cool throughout.The menu is like most Chinese restaurants with the usual combo plates and specialties. There are twelve different combos priced from $10 to $14. They also offer the Dinners for 2,3,4 and 5 persons. Lunch combos are also offered until 2pm. You can mix and match dishes and there are nineteen Chinese Cuisine specialties. I am not sure how these small kitchens can offer such an extensive selection.Meanwhile back at our table, we decided on each having a combo.
