"It's a hole in the wall type of bar. Drinks are done well, IMO, and the staff are friendly. The prices are reasonable. It used to have karaoke, but not now. I would recommend this place for quiet drinks."

"Lots of vegan choices in this supermarket. If you're in Hilo you should stock up on food before you head off for the day since choices are limited in other parts of the island (except Kona). The vegan burrito was great."

"Foodgasm doesn't even begin to describe how amazing the meals were that Jasmine and Kai prepared for us! My husband and I recently attended a business retreat on the Big Island and prior to going were both apprehensive about what dining would like for me since it seems to be always be an incredible challenge to find anything that meets all of my dietary needs (medical restrictions). However, from the moment we walked through the doors of the retreat space Jasmine was there reassuring me that she and the HeartBeet team had me when it came to nutrition and meals during our 5 day stay, and they did not disappoint. Every bite was full of flavorful layers from start to finish. I would often find myself eager to make it to each meal just taste the lovingly prepared food that she and/or Kai were making that day. They both took the time to explain ingredients being used and what was safe for me. My body felt so so good for those few days. Tonight after a long flight back home we ordered local vegan in an attempt to maintain that feel good sensation that my body had enjoyed for the last few days, it's safe to say that nothing will even come close to delish experience we had with Jasmine. Fortunately the hubby purchased Jasmine's cookbook, The HeartBeet Kitchen Cookbook so maybe that will save us until we can get back to Hawaii next year.Jasmine, Kai, and Puka thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of us. We can't thank you enough for savory, and yet extremely healthful experience.????? "

"Went there and they were closed door was locked nobody acknowledged us but they were supposed to be open. A bunch of Chinese (perhaps their family members? eating and sounded like grumbling on the table could hear it from the outside. There was still a lot of empty tables to be open as they should have been. The old lady working in the kitchen seems to have a very short and vocal temper. This time it wasn't my choice to eat there. I was invited to eat out. Given a choice, I wouldn't eat there. There are other better places choose from like few doors down at Happy Valley."

"My man celebrated my 40th birthday here and we couldn't find a better place to celebrate this special occasion. we had luck sitting in front of the kitchen, which are by the way the best places in the restaurant. we had an amazing interactive experience with chef dominic and Sous-Koch yama; they are incredible. we asked the chef to judge his self-created, and he gave us his absolute best!. we had little tellers, how brave more or less, and they were absolutely delicious. each plate had its own power, magic and technology. eating was really fresh, cooked before us, could not ask for more. alexis, our server/host/sommelier was outstanding. she gave us the best pairing for every dish, she delivered to perfect our desires and we like a royal, she even ordered a one for us when we were finished. the prices are reasonable and very affordable, compared to other high-end restaurants on the big island. the restaurant is a gem in hilo. highly recommended!"
