"05 February, 2016. It was a bit late for lunch, when I set out from Hotel Ginger, looking for some joint close-by. I chanced upon this quaint joint, in the Press Complex. I saw some snacks on the menu, and wondered as to what would be the most filling. Much to my delight, the proprietor, a pleasant lady seated on the counter, told me that a thali (spread) would still be available, and that too, for a very reasonable Rs.60. Would they be able to substitute the rice for chapatis? I was delighted with a positive answer. As the food was being prepared for serving, I noted the surroundings. The place has uniform bright colours on the walls, with green on one side, yellow beside it, red on another part, with the last one having some appetising pictures of fast food. The furniture was quite interesting: red, green and blue chairs, with a nice pattern on the back and the seating surface. The serving had some tomato slices with sliced onions as some salad, a dal (pulses), a chhole (chick-peas in a spicy gravy), and a dry lady finger-based preparation. It was a bit on the spicy side, but quite tasty, nevertheless."

"In Palasia, parking outside on road side. Though said tobe lounge type, but proper seating may not be found. Menu needs tobe changed with better dishes. Most of dishes are like starters and snakes only. Prices too high. Too noisy. Better for evening time. Not...for dinners."

"20 May, 2016. In the hot summer sun, I went to the nearby Press Complex (we were staying at Hotel Ginger), looking for something to eat. I found this nice and quaint place, with reasonable rates. I went in for a DQ thali, the spread. The cafe had an entrance, with some nice antique furniture outside. The menu card had a wide range of items on view. The cane furniture had chairs and glass panelling on the tables. The lighting was quite nice inside. The menu was on the walls, as well as on the menu cards. The thali started with salad, and some papad, and had pickle. There was a bowl of rice, and a few chapatis. There were three items: a dry mixed vegetable preparation, a dal, and a spicy pick-pea preparation, chhole. The amount was good enough, the place neat and clean, and the serving, simple yet elegant."

"We came to this restaurant because our cab driver suggested it to us. We wanted to try vegetarian dishes but at a reasonably priced restaurant. So, he brought us here. We ordered many north indian dishes including shahi paneer, lachcha paratha, tadka daal, jeera rice...and last but not the least, kheer. I have to say, there was not even one dish that I didn't love. Everything was really well cooked and delicious. My whole family was happy with the food."
