"Tian Jin is by far the best Chinese food I've had in Ithaca. The couple that owns it was incredibly kind to me and patient towards my friend who is learning Mandarin and practiced ordering using it. The wait time is a little long because it's just the 2 of them running it and they take orders and cook simultaneously. I really enjoyed getting to watch my dumplings and noodles being handmade on the spot. The soup dumplings (xiao long bao) were very good with thicker skin that doesn't break easily and rich soup. I also got the beef noodle soup which has AMAZING beef broth, super flavorful and the beef was very tender. Highly recommend this place!!"

"Ordered 3 tacos, burrito and 2 drinks one night during Cornell Reunion weekend. The three tacos we ordered E, H, I with pork) were great. The Heidelbeer Chipotle H) and Citrus habanero I) were the best and I would order them absolutely. Good portions for the price $7 for all 3). Unfortunately we did not like the #7 Burrito almost so much, the rice overwhelmed the aromas of queso and it was very muddy. Probably our bad choice partly and personal preference. I'd stick to Tacos the next time, I saw some other combinations I'd like to try. Agave lemonade and lemonade were delicious, lemonade was perfectly sweet-tart. All in all, 4/5 and we'll be back when we're in town."

"Happy hour drink specials are great, but the food leaves a lot to be desired and the service is iffy at best. Our waiter didn't ask if we wanted more drinks before happy hour ended and then got upset with us for going to the bar instead. Also DO NOT order the risotto- its awful. Our waiter also added a 20% gratuity even though our party was only 4 people."

"We were in beautiful Ithaca for a concert. Made reservations for a Saturday night with another couple. We were early so we went to the bar. The only bartender on at that moment was busy with service tickets and didn't even bother to acknowledge us by saying hello or anything. We were completely ignored until the hostess came to seat us. We enjoyed each other's company for dinner or it would have been a total let down. My salmon entree was over cooked and overpriced, not to mention void of flavor. With all the cookbooks they have... I never would have expected such an unsatisfactory meal. I will return to Ithaca for sure but I will not be returning to the moosewood!"
