"Not at all impressed with the food. The guacamole had zero flavor. The break your own tortilla chips was really messy. I guess it would be fun for kids. Used to getting at least chips and salsa as you wait. No salsa, just some unlabeled and dirty bottles of what looked like taco sauce.Our group tried an assortment of tacos, taquitos, and the empanadas. The portions are very small, more like appetizers and I'm not a big eater. The tacos come with a very thick blue corn tortilla. Honestly very hard to chew and swallow, they were so dry, thick, and barely cooked. Frying the shells would have made it so much easier to eat and would've added a little flavor. The meats were not seasoned hardly at all octopus, pork, chicken were dry. The only taco that was remotely tasty was the shrimp. 3 chicken taquitos were just your average chicken and cheese, nothing special.Service was just okay. Order came out fairly quickly. Had to ask for waters to be refilled. One person's tacos came out on someone else's plate and we had to separate them. Didn't understand how we wanted the check split up. Not a place that I would recommend.Vegetarian options: Offer vegetarian options. Easy to make some dishes vegan.Dietary restrictions: Mexican food is typically the easiest cuisine to find GF options."

"Based on my first time eating from here, I will definitely get back, and soon! the food quality is excellent. they use high quality ingredients here and pay attention to the details with their recipes and preparation. I will probably increase this rating to five stars after I have sampled the menu further. even though I got to go to eat, I was impressed by the ambiente of the dining room, something I don't pay in the rule too much attention. this would be a nice place to go on a date or for a family trip."

"1/30/2016 - I think Shono's is a hidden gem. The times I've been in, there's not a crowd of people and the food is cooked to order (Hibachi style). I disagree with the food being dry and flavorless - the fried rice and chicken entree is quite good.<br>

Service is a bit slow but the food is prepared when ordered, so the food quality is much better than one would see on a buffet. The meals are reasonably priced and two meals ran $22.50 which is pretty decent.<br>

I'd like to see a bit better lettuce (no white sections) in the ginger salad and the shrimp sauce a bit sweeter (instead of horseradish based). But overall, a good eat."

"Wish I could say something about the food and drinks but sat at table for minutes and never got waited on mean while a big group came in way after us and was waited on almost immediately! At that point we got up and went to Hooters! Very disappointed!"

"The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Great atmosphere and unique feel. To walk in you think you were walking in to a nice hotel. Carousel doors with a nice lounge waiting area with a walk up counter to meet the staff instead of a podium. The food was amazing. My husband had the Shrimp Grits and he exclaimed that they were perfection. I had the Alaskan Salmon...wow! Hands down the best I have had. Great selection of wine with a beautiful wine storage room. They also have a wonderful raw bar. 5 stars."

"They need to clean up after their guests!! Constant beer and liquor bottles left in the parking lot. Not to mention customers VOMIT being left on the sidewalk. Stop over serving your guests or check your food quality or both."
