"Pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and experience here. The ahi tuna tartar was very well balanced and the lotus chips added some texture. We also ordered the honeycomb and cheese plate with brie, humboldt fog goat cheese, and comte which were all very good; I'm not a huge fan of goat cheese but it paired very well with the honey. I actually thought the starters were more appealing than the actual entrees so I ordered the foie grass with pineapple mustarda as my entree. It was a great decision. The foie was creamy and flavorful and the mustarda had just enough spice to complement the dish. I also got a bite of the beef which was tasty as well. The fresh ginger ale is a good choice if you're going non-alcoholic and the watermelon chili soda is quite pleasant after the initial foam. We actually had a slight complaint over a drink and they were kind enough to make it fresh! Oh yes... we also ordered the chevre cheesecake and while I'm usually not a fan of goat cheese, the flavors were so well balanced and delicious. Ate every bite here! Service was excellent and we could not have asked for a better experience. (Oh yeah, while the focaccia is good, try to get the taro dinner rolls... they go fast!"

"Kind of long overdue to write this review, but I got back into Yelp. Writing reviews brings back memories and would love to share some of my experiences for all the FOODIES out there! This was in October BTW. Let's begin by saying that the area was beautiful. You get a great view of the ocean in a luxury hotel, absolutely breath-taking! Now, lets get on to the bad stuff and the reason why I am giving this a 2/5. The restaurant was understaffed with only 2 waiters, and I each in different sections. We waited around 15 mins for the waitress to get to our table...then another 35 mins for the food to come out. Why don't they hire more people?! We ordered the burger, and I swear we only saw about 12 small pieces of fries...are you kidding me? We didn't have time to flag the waitress since she was too busy taking care of customers. Then, the Tofu (mind you it was $20) was a complete garbage! Small portion with no flavor. We also did not have a lot of options to choose from since all of their fish is out...like how do you run out of fish?! It's 11:30 AM, LOL. Overall not worth the money! The waitress was sweet and did her best, but was still not a great experience for me"
