"My friend and I, along with my two teen daughters went out to dinner on a Saturday night to this small Thai hotspot tucked away in the Dandenong Ranges. It is best to make a reservation but we were lucky enough to get a table for 4 without one. We ordered chicken larb gai, pad thai, as well as a veg red curry and a chicken green curry. Their coconut rice is also delicious. We obviously went way overboard with the mains and could have done with 2 to 3. The portion of pad thai is large and would easily serve 3 as a full meal. Everything was delicious, well spiced and not greasy. The owners are lovely and friendly as they take your order and serve you. They also do a brisk takeaway business so you might wait to have your order taken but if ypu are in a rush or impatient just signal them and they are happy to oblige. The atmosphere is light, relaxed, and pleasant. I have no qualms recommending Tamarind Thai as the #1 place for Thai food on this side of the Hills"
