"Despite being opposite our hotel we stumbled across this gem of a restaurant by accident and my what a find. Very close to Termini it is easily accessible from different areas of Rome. On a very rainy night in Rome this restaurant was full of...locals, which says a great deal. The restaurant is situated in a former shoe shop and has a wonderful vintage old world charm. The display of wine and local produce adds to the ambience The enthusiasm of the Mario the Maitre 'd was infectious. He is incredibly talented at pairing wine and is knowledgeable and passionate about the food and wine he serves.He will happily recommend dishes and give advice on the best wines for your budget. A small selection of dishes using local and seasonal produce were on the menu. With products of this quality there is no need for an extensive menu. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of dishes served. We visited twice and both meals were absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I are fortunate to travel a great deal and have visited many leading hotels and visited many restaurants around the world. I can safely say the food served at Dianas Place have probably been the best we have ever experienced. The restaurant looks formal but is far from unwelcoming and stuffy. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. This was our first trip to Rome and our experience at Dianas place was certainly a highlight of our trip, we will be returning with our family."

"This restaurant came recommended to us by our hotel staff. We had reservations for an 8:30 dinner and arrived on time. It was a lovely evening and we opted to eat outside. We asked the server what the gluten free options were for dinner. Unprovoked, the waiter SCREAMED in a very angry voice a list of gluten free pasta shapes. We were so embarrassed that all of the other people dining outside were turning around staring at us. It was at that moment, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere (there are many other dining options near the Pantheon). We had a wonderful meal at a nearby restaurant."
