"I was quite surprised with the food here. As far as pub fare goes it's pretty good. Had the chilli mussels and couldn't really complain. The other meals looked alright too and were reasonably priced. Better than most of the other pubs in the area. Nice inside also. Will be back."

"I have never been to this cafe until it got renovated so I'm not sure if it's under new management or not. Regardless, I found the food to be fresh, tasty and always well presented. The coffee is nice and strong too. I found the...food to be made with love and well presented and probably a tiny bit cheaper than if you were in Fitzroy or the city etc. I think it's pretty good value for money as it's quality food. My only gripe is that my eggs benedict came on a turkish bread( long roll) but I only got the bottom of the bread roll (i.e. it was an open sandwich). Given that it cost I think it was a tad on the more expensive side for Box Hill but still delicious. I will return."

"First time for me after being recommended by my son. The menu, range and description had so much to offer and my expectations were high mainly due to the pricing. Meat was good quality however over cooked. Expected much more than what was delivered. Bland, greasy and underwhelming. Will not return."

"I came here for lunch again after a long while. I had generally only ever liked the scrambled tofu, and I was in the mood for this. I was surprised to see there’s been minor changes to the menu, and the scrambled tofu had been replaced with a breakfast tofu quesadilla $17). I ordered this with the side of avocado $4). The price wasn’t low but the meal was a decent size with plenty of added avo. It was quite nice, although the pico de gallo was just a little on the sweet side. An interesting flourish was the sprinkling of rice puffs over the dish perhaps that’s what they meant by ‘breakfast quesadilla’."
