"What a lovely tea room popped in for some lunch the food and service were outstanding, staff were very friendly, options to sit inside or outside weather permitting. "We have been here several times in the past and always had the takeaway option we did the same on bank holiday Monday our fish and chips where cooked to order the chips were delicious the haddock was very thick and meaty sadly our batter wasn’t the best it was crispy outside but very soggy on the inside I’m guessing there’s been a change of ownership decent prices"

"We visited for our first nights meal of our short stay in the area. We found the restaurant on maps and spotted the excellent reviews. The staff were welcoming and the food was great and at a very reasonable price. My husband was particularly impressed with his steak and Ale pie, mash and peas. Whilst I enjoyed gammon, eggs, pineapple and chips. My eldest tucked into fish and chips and my youngest a chicken and bacon burger. Everyones meals looked great. Topped off with icecream for dessert. Thank you Capplemans for a great first night in Yorkshire, thoroughly recommend!"
