"I have visited this restaurant on many occasions as it caters for coeliac ‘s like my self but on visiting today I would say to anyone avoid at all costs. Myself and my mother were masked on entry and the sign in the entry way...states ring bell on counter. As I approached the counter to do this I can only say I was barked at to sit down please. We went to do this as the lady serving approached saying she didn’t want to be too close to anybody at the moment but whilst not wearing a face covering or visor another covering is not possible. I asked about gluten free and she told me she would have to check the lady returned saying yes I could have it but it would be a wait. I said yes that’s fine as I expect to wait for GF food. She then went on to re iterate the wait saying that if it became busy down stairs my wait would be longer. At this point we were made to feel we were just an inconvenience I questioned that she said I would have to wait longer sitting in the restaurant than customers walking through the door. At this point the server realised that I was angry and upset at her attitude and changed her manner even referring to me as honey which at that point was frankly insulting. I put my cost back on and left. I would recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind being spoken to abruptly and rudely and who doesn’t mind being made to feel like an inconvenience but other than that avoid at all cost"

"The George Dragon is in my opinion the best pub in Yorkshire. Been going for 6 years and although it’s had a few recent changes of landlord and is on the look out for another, as a community owned pub it is an absolute pleasure to visit. At the moment only serving Sunday lunch but worth the trip for that alone and plenty of choice of great beer. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed."

"Called in for a late morning coffee with friends from Belgium. The owner obliged by taking a photo of the of us and we went into the tiny cafe for coffee. The Victoria Sandwich cake was very inviting, as were the other cakes on...show, so despite a generous English breakfast a couple of hours earlier we indulged! The cake was home made (in the tiny kitchen at the back of the cafe) and was excellent, and the slices were generous and the price was very competitive, less than half the asking price in the likes of Betty's, and bigger. A definite on the return list There is a fridge for cold drinks and a small range of ice cream."

"We had passed this pub some time ago and decided to go and have a look. It is really worth a visit. We found the landlord and his wife very amenable and enjoyed their bitter and jacket potatoes. It is an unhurried place so just settle in and relax..."

"We stayed in Richmond for a weeks holiday and had passed this lovely Inn a few times so decided to book a table here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, tasty and well presented, so much so, we went back another night. If you want real tasty pub food, this is the place. Its also dog friendly. The beer garden has views to die for. We'll definitely go back next time we're up. Service: 5 Location: 5"
