"We have dropped in to the Pelican Cafe a number of times over the years. Today to have lunch with our son and his girlfriend. This time my wife had the displeasure of being served by what can only be described as the crabby attitude...of the older lady behind the till. I think the owner? I have had similar experiences with this same woman in the past. No welcome. No decorum. Snappy responses to what I would think reasonable questions and requests. And outrageous eftpost fees if your order doesnt exceed $10. Today? We were slightly early so my wife had ordered two flat white coffees, ONE to be extra hot. They arrived. BOTH extra hot. Shortley after our son and girlfriend arrived. Not being prepared to stomach the same sour demeanor, we got up without drinking our coffees or ordering lunch, and went to another cafe opposite the boat ramp. Here we were met with pleasant service, beautifully cooked food and reasonable prices. Pelican Cafe.... we wont be back."
