"The rave reviews on TA convinced myself and my partner to try this place when we were looking for a nice Italian meal on Saturday night.Not so impressed. It's not a restaurant but a café, and although the service was reasonably friendly and the food tasty enough it wasn't exactly gourmet.I have an intense dislike for anywhere where I have to perch on a backless stool instead of having a real seat, so that automatically earned it no more than 3 out of 5. While the food was plentiful and tasty we have both eaten much better Italian food in the area than this.The owner/manager screaming orders and commands to staff at the top of his lungs didn't help and while I could possibly write that off as just the Italian way, the place was so small and so loud that it really did annoy, and detract from any enjoyment.But the number one issue we had with the place was the air conditioning. I know it's the middle of summer in Sydney, and that a small lace like this could possibly get stuffy, but the night we visited it was cool outside, yet the A/C was up so high that we were literally shivering by the time we had finished our meals, and couldn't wait to get out of there!This place may be okay for a quick bite before or after the movies, but it definitely is NOT the place to go for an enjoyable, relaxing meal."
