"Our group has come to the Royal on the water for many years, the last time in March. As we all know, a lot has happened in the hospitality industry since March. At the Royal, regular employees seem to have been replaced by very young, almost work experience people. In this way the administration was forced due to the Covid pandemic, but it certainly leads to an unusual lunch. The work that paid for what was laborious and confusing at the end of the meal. Not as pleasant an experience as in the past. Food quality also slipped a bit."

With limited time, a family staycation with just 25 minutes travel required, suited us down to the ground. "Previously Shilla, the rebranding added some more class to this Korean BBQ restaurant. As reflected in the prices, quality of meats were above average. On this occasion the soy marinade was a tad too sweet, otherwise it had good flavour. The seafood pancake and fried chicken wings were excellent, however portion sizes could have been more generous for the price On this Sat night, the place was bustling and noisy. Waitresses were largely attentive. Plus point would be the location and secure free parking."

"Thumbs Up. We dined here last Saturday and I thoroughly enjoyed my Salmon with Zucchini 'noodle ' , Potato Croquette in a pool of fish or seafood stock. For some, the salmon might be considered overcooked by I like my salmon well-done, with crispy skin. My partner had the Rabbit Orechiette and liked it too. For dessert we had the profiterole...nice and generous! 4 profiteroles for $9 and doused with chocolate sauce.<br/ <br/ I would certainly return! Friendly service too."

"The food and coffee here is amazing. It doesn't look out from the front but I cannot recommend highly enough. Had the salmon roll and the bread is some of the best I've ever had. The person next to us had a more substantial meal and it also looked great, we will be back to try more. Staff are very professional and prices reasonable. Toby's estate coffee made well too."

"We went to this italian restaurant on a Tuesday night thinking it would not be crowded, we almost couldn't get a table which was a good sign. The restaurant was cosy but not too noisy,even though it was full. It had a great Italian feel to it. Pizza was fantastic.Service was great. Would reccommend it."
