"Dopo la visita all'abbazia benedettina di Melk ci siamo soffermati per un piccolo pranzetto in questo delizioso locale. In realtà si tratta di una salumeria con tavoli all'internoe all'esterno per degustare piatti tipici austriaci. L'arredo semplice ma tipico, la particolare la padella gigante (con BBQ) impiegata per la cottura dei Wurst e la sua posizione vicino alla piazza fanno in modo di attirare clientela. Portate gustose ma servizio lento con personale che non è molto simpatico e ancor meno cortese."

"...wir haben zu dieser Zeit nichts anderes bekommen, also mussten wir das so Akzeptieren! Das Zimmer war sehr stark abgewohnt, der Handtuchhalter (Hacken) im Badezimmer verkehrt sowie manches schief montiert. Die WC Brille gebrochen, Duschwände aus der Führung usw. In einem Satz, desolat, nach dem Motto, die kommen sowieso nicht mehr. Diese Beschädigungen müsste der Putztrupp bei der Reinigung gesehen und gemeldet haben, aber niemand hat darauf reagiert! Wir haben das reklamiert, mit der Antwort, er sehe sich das an! –mit der Reparatur wurde bis zu unserer Abreise nicht begonnen, denke das hat System! –das Fenster im Zimmer hat sich auch nicht mehr schließen lassen, Verriegelung gebrochen, passt irgendwie zu allem! Nach der Anreise hatten wir im Restaurant auf der Terrasse eine Zwiebelsuppe und Marillen-Knödel bestellt. Als wir die Suppe sahen, dachten wir einstimmig an die Sauce eines Schweinsbraten, die auch so intensiv danach schmeckte, Marillenknödel sehr trocken, also ein kulinarischer Genuss was das alles nicht! Wir ließen uns leider wieder von den guten Bewertungen täuschen, was das Personal und die Wirtsleute angeht, waren diese sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, wenigstens war es da super!"

"We couldn't eat for dinner at the restaurant because it was closed on Sundays, but we met the new owner and chef Maximilian when we had breakfast at the hotel. What a charming and personal guy! He came down from Brittany to buy another life, and made us some of the best croissants we had in each country, plus a sample of a special private fruit he spread that was incredibly good. Eggs were made cheerful and accurate to order. We were even offered schnapps with Expresso. Let's hope we can return to see what he does with the dinner menu!"
