"The most flavoursome Thai food I have had in Perth. The staff here are very welcoming and friendly, and went into a lot of detail explaining the different dishes to us as two of our group were not that familiar with Thai food. Spring roll starters were a pleasant surprise - the pastry was really light, and they had been cooked with care so that the pastry didn't soak through with oil and the lovely veg and glass noodle filling was just the right temperature and was crisp and fresh tasting. The tom yum soup was beautiful with great depth of flavour, and the daily special soup (chicken dumpling soup) was a huge portion with big meaty dumplings also full of flavour in a light broth. Both soups had lots of fresh veggies in them. The tom yum fried rice was something I've not come across before but was also great - tangy flavour with lovely big prawns through it. "Easter Sunday was an Angove Street brekkie with all cafés open; surprisingly! I headed for the Old Laundry and it was still quiet although it was fairly early for a Sunday. They offered table service, and the guy behind the bar came quickly with menu and water, and asked for my coffee ordered while I studied the menu. I was having a savoury versus sweet war in my head, but given I had sweet the day before, I went savoury; but the Sicilian apple doughnuts, burnt honey sauce and vanilla bean ice-cream looked like a crowd pleaser, and I will come back to try it next time. I ordered the potato rosti, spinach, poached eggs, gin cured trout, and hollandaise. My long Mac topped up was really good coffee. The rosti arrived and was slightly crispy with a nice soft filling. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the trout were good, but a little more would have been nice. Staff were attentive and friendly. And I will have to come back for the donuts soon and spend some time on Angove Street exploring the shops!"

"Absolutely enjoyed the simplicity of the fresh ingredients, grilled and light seasoning can't quite pin point what the mixed was salt, pepper and ?? but just had a touch of lightness overall were delicious. Tofu, squid, pork belly, smoked duck would love to give it a lighting quick grill a go to enhance the favour instead , checken wing was so perfect. Can't help to try the desert, but I was overly full to finish it off very rich chocolate lava cake yet not overly sweet. Sharing the joy and food with strangers made it so much more enjoyable too. Staff was marvellous. Thank you for my very satisfied taste buds and worth the visit."

"We haven’t been to the Lion for a feed for quite a while and recently headed here. It’s had a makeover of sorts and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat in their casual dining area and scored a table near the bar. Food was really good, lots of options available and the schnitty special on a Thursday is great value if you’re keen for a pub staple. Good service and tasty food, a nice chilled atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating. Prices are pretty good and there’s plenty to choose from with their selection of alcohol and wine. Would go back for sure."

"This place is understated in terms of decor, the furniture looks tired, room needs abit of warmth and color. What it misses, it makes up it food and flavor. The arancini balls were crunchy on the outside, smooth and velvety on the inside and the tomato sauce gave it that finishing touch. Must try- stuffed mushroom, ricotta was lovely. Good decent portion size. Gnocchi was really good, soft and lush. Pizza is to die for..its BYO which is a bonus. The service was really good, friendly and eager to keep us happy. Very enjoyable night. Definitely must try for those who haven't yet."
