"Known and always different! In the last 5 years, since the first visit of a Hans in the happy HiG, we can see what awaits us there. The map is the same everywhere, but it also depends on the “intermediate human” values that have remained here in Heidelberg a little from the proverbial “stretches”. I only discovered this address when I was looking for our hotel on the first day. It is just a few minutes' walk from the south exit of the HBF. From there it is only one HS to the Gadamerplatz, which is controlled by several lines. Theoretically we could sit outside, but because it rained the day and the benches and tables were wet, we decided against it. The later the evening... the better it is to reserve a place. Once again we followed this. Since we've already eaten, we've chosen HiG for cocktails. As everywhere else, it was said before the entrance that you should wait for an operation. The young man then assigned us a seat. But we changed this because I was a little fresh right next to the entrance. It turned out because someone was in another place before. This can also be called happiness. The young man was almost responsible for us. Unfortunately, as it turned out after a certain time, it was said that he had an evening. Okay, but why it had to look so messy:! After that, either over a very long time no one had a look or every few minutes without changing the fact that no other drinks had reached our table. In between, they have asked where they have stayed, but without this situation having been solved in any way: if that had been the case only one night, I would have said that it could happen because of the high hospitality. For us it looked as though the young people had lacked a little routine, and from my point of view there is an overall view. But if some of them do so hard on a quiet late afternoon, they ask their processes! I mean, even though I have seen from the point of view that our orders have been finished for a long time and on the vault were obviously “more important” than our order: . After more than 20 min, when a young lady asked about our wishes and we point out that we have been sitting on the “dry” for a while, although we should be standing in front of us! She apologised on behalf of the operator, but as I read on the web, long before Corona there were sometimes very long waiting times for the respective orders. On the other hand, if there was a shift change, it can happen that a certain overview can be missing, so the impression is that "something" has remained on the "stretch": . In the gastronomy where there was a long lack of such aid forces and a team must play accordingly, such events can throw a negative picture on a specific location, as with HiG. With the very large number of young guests you could already see how popular this very “new” address in a trendy neighborhood. This industry has existed since May 2020 in Bahnstadt. As with others, birch is used as decoration inside. What deviates from the general picture is that there were very different seating. On the one hand the small very unpleasant stools made of wood. It was surprising that the individual tables were very close together. There is always a plexiglas in between, but as “abberig”, as it had worked on me, the question of “sense” was raised automatically. This can also be transferred to the very thin support on the stools! We would rather have put ourselves on the armchairs, but this place was already reserved for a group. But what I did not see in another Hig restaurant is that another option is a swing available! It wouldn't be for me, so I'll let her mention it. During a stay, it is important that you visit the “Climbing Division” at some point. It took a while to find it. It is located in the back of the restaurant. The cabins are very small, but still clean. It is very unusual for everyone to judge this locally; the Cocotails are more expensive if I should judge them on the price. For those without alcohol, € 8.50 and the others even €9.99 are due. ordered for us the favorite “Gipfelstürmerin”. My partner stayed there the other night. Tastes are very different. After that I also had a swan feather with Baileys, Frangelico1, Falernum, Mango Maracuja – I don't even know much... and carefully tested with Baileys, Amaretto, strawberry, but also for my sweet taste, they only tasted pappsweet... Perhaps the hotel bar would be an alternative; little joke on the edge... It is clear that this area will remain our starting point next time, and that will also be driven by this place. It remains to be hoped that the negative points will change: electoral difficulties that led to a rather chaotic overall impression and long waiting times. So I want to forgive very fair 3 stars at this HiG."

"We had the lunch menu. Delicious pommes that tasted for potatoes. 2 x different burgers with cattle patties, both very tasty. It is also nice to choose the option between different fonts. Finally delicious espresso and cappuccino. By the way, Corona requirements are well implemented... very nice reception and service! Prices for Burger already “a little higher” than for fast food chains"

"I had a lunch deal: a burger with smoked cheese, cherry tomatoes and rucola (no bun), a mint and elderflower lemonade, espresso and a side salad. The first bite of the burger was heavenly. I was also very positively surprised by the lemonade, which was fresh and just the perfect amount of sweet (not too much. The salad looked a little sad, but the dressing was the best I've ever had, and totally made up for it. Service was very friendly, although could have perhaps been faster, since the restaurant was rather empty."
