"Tried La Famiglia last night in the gabba and this is one I would definitely return to! The food was delicious (hate that word but struggling to come up with anything better as a description , and really reasonably priced. Try the char grilled prawns, fabulous and the barramundi (fish of the day was wonderful. The olives were very moreish too. The service was 5 star, very attentive but not pushy and very friendly. Loved the restaurant manager and I take it, owner, lovely, warm person that made us feel very welcome (grazie mille : Only slight downfall was the food got cold quite quickly as we sat near a door but when mentioned to the manager, she said they were going to do something about this and the room temperature was great ie not stifling like a lot of places in winter. She also said she'd seat us somewhere else next time....and yes there definitely will be a next time. Really enjoyed the experience, 5 stars!! And gave Enotecca a run for their money as considerably cheaper and food just as good."

"We dined here last night, the food and service was very good. The waiter was very good with info about the menu but I'm not sure why he didn't mention how rare the lamb (main meal) is cooked! I don't mind a med-rare steak but have never been served lamb so rare ever.... sent it back and they cooked it more for me. The oysters and duck spring rolls were fresh and good!"

"Completely agree with the reviewer who said this place feels like a student sharehouse/op shop/café. However, once you get over the fact that I'm definitely not cool enough to eat here, the food is delicious. One of the only places in Brisbane that you can get poutine. And that, my friends, is why I've been back three times."

"I can't recommend this gorgeous little place enough. You won't get lost in a crowd at Catbird Seat, and the food is very swish indeed...stylish plating, creative combining of flavours, and attention to detail. Since I'm a bit of a dessert fiend, I revelled in the strawberry cheesecake finale - a deconstructed generous serving of strawberry mousse with a little smoked goats cheese on the side....mmmm. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!"

"I was taken here by surprise by my fiancé. I had no idea what to expect and the restaurant looked small and it was full of people. Nicki was the only staff member on floor and she looked snowed under but the excellent service we received from her was also warm and lovely When the food arrived, I was blown away by it. My partner had the veal tortellini and I ordered the sand crab spaghetti. They were beyond all expectations! I've always been apprehensive about ordering seafood at restaurants because they are either not fresh or soaked in agents to keep them fresher My crab tasted like the meat had just been torn off the crab and it was tender sweet juicy wonderful deliciousness!...read more"

"Awesome establishment. 1st time for myself and partner. We decided to eat here before a later come back for an album launch night. The establishment was super rustic and inviting. The bar staff extremely friendly. The food was delicious. Ordered the Barramundi, the fish was...perfectly cooked with a super crisp skin on ink mayo, potatoes with a light crush and roasted were extremely flavoursome and the salad leaves dressed to perfection. I could not falut my meal (unusual for me) Partner had the steak salad and chips which he said was awesome and the portiin sizes were spot on. Later back for drinks and a night of live music. Great vibe and atmosphere, softly lit and again, happy, cheerful bar staff. Finished night with a dish of nice crisp skinned chips and mayo Highly recommend and kudos to the chef. Excellent lunch and evening"
