"We arrived a little early for our 8.30pm reservation and were unceremoniously told to wait outside (in the freezing cold!) or in the (very smokey) bar, without even being asked for the name of the reservation. We returned at the appropriate time only to be told to go upstairs, where there seemed to be a number of empty tables. We stood there, being ignored for a while, which was quite strange. However, after this less than promising start we were eventually seated and our order taken (although a table who arrived after us seemed to have drinks first.) Things then improved dramatically. We had an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING cheese fondue for three, which, despite our best efforts, the three of us could not finish. We followed this with a chocolate fondue, which was equally amazing. We really enjoyed the food, ambience and (once it got going) service in this restaurant, however it was just a shame that it was let down by the poor welcome."
