"Lors de la visite de l'exposition d'Annie Leibovitz très intéressante nous en avons profité pour réserver une formule soirée danse de L.a dance project et repas au réfectoire.Le 22 juillet: arrivée à 19h50 au réfectoire.2 clients nous précèdent.Une personne très désagréable les renseigne à la limite de la correction (la responsable du lieu à priori) Ça nous met dansl'ambiance mais heureusement une autre personne plus sympathique nous indique qu'on peut s'asseoir où l'on veut.Un serveur nous propose le menu du jour :salade de lentilles ,du paleron et legumes ,un cookie et café en guise de dessert Pour boisson une eau minerale ou un jus de pomme Tout ça servi dans des contenants en carton et couverts en plastique (argument écologique paraît il)Nous commandons en supplément 2 verres de rosé servi tièdeTotal 30,50 E par personne On s'est fait avoir une fois mais il n'y aura pas d'autres essaisHeureusement le spectacle de danse était superA l'avenir nous irons à Luma pour les expositions ou les événements qui nous interesseront en se dispensant de faire une étape à cette cantine pas terrible."

"Arles demands walking. Arles is normally hot, hot, hot ! People tire quickly.When you are hot and sweaty, tired and dragging badly, are not famished but want -- no NEED -- food and drink; steer toward Snack Point Soleil on Rue de l'Hôtel de Ville. The Rue de l'Hôtel de Ville is the main street off the large Place de la Republique and shades from the Provence sun all the day. Just past the pharmacy on the corner and a few steps beyond is this tiny shop with 3-4 little tables along the wall.It is nothing much more than a snack shop; but it is charming and pleasant, and the food is satisfying and perfect for walkers. It's a young family operation, so you may be served by a very young daughter. Madame will be up front to greet and take orders, or often to just hand out drinks to those continuing their marathon sight-seeing. Monsieur is 'chef' in the back grilling, or creating a fresh salad or sandwich, or cutting a slice of quiche.The prices are very accommodating; you should only need coins !The fare is light, fresh, and refreshing ... so important for finishing your day of touring the city. Grab some ice cream in a cone to go, before you leave !"

"We've been eating lots of (good) French food this past week and it was great to change diets, so to speak, at the Rendezvous-Vous. We had 5 tapas-style planches & dessert between 2 1/2 of us, plus a bottle of rose wine, and greatly enjoyed all of it.
