"Visited this restaurant on recommendation. Booked early and clearly explained my allergy to dairy. Extremely hot day and the marquee had very poor ventilation - it was like sitting in an oven. First course came within a reasonable time however main took one and three quarter hours to be delivered, despite the fact that it was not extremely busy, only to find that my meal was drenched in butter. It was suggested that they could do the meal again in oil however we did not have the time to wait considering the time it took in the first place. Staff then insisted on charging me for the meal which I refused to pay - not a pleasant experience at all. For a prestigious restaurant at an well promoted international garden festival - very little english spoken by staff. Travelled throughout France and Italy for a month and this rated as the 'most unpleasant experience'."
