"The food was good, the service was good. A bit crowded and the staff was obviously having trouble keeping up with wiping the tables clean and we had to eat at a dirty table as they were too busy to ask to come clean. They ask for your name and yell it out when your meal is ready. That was fun and amusing as my name became something new ?.Kid-friendliness: Pancakes, chocolate milk etc"

"I really love it here! The atmosphere and the decor are really refreshing. I 've been here twice so far; first time I went I ordered the acai bowl and I absolutely loved it. I also got a matcha tea misto which I found to be so concentrated that I wanted to add a LOT more milk afterwards haha. I guess it was my first time trying a misto so I didn 't expect it to be like that.<br/>The second time, I found out that I could turn any smoothie into a smoothie bowl so I got the berry-oxidant smoothie with granola, chia seeds, and banana. The only reason why I don 't go here more often is because of how pricey I find it! From what I remember, the acai bowl was about $9? and the misto was $5; the smoothie is $9 plus $3 to make it into a smoothie bowl to add 3 toppings. <br/>Service is great, the workers there are really upbeat and friendly haha. But I don 't know why their food all comes out in disposable packaging (even if you 're staying in to eat) and I find that it 's a lot of waste? I know they stand for clean eats and 'eating plants ' and such so I 'm sure their packaging is probably all recycled materials. I just find it a little contradicting to have so much waste rather than having plates/cups/bowls to reuse? Anyway, it doesn 't really have much impact on the taste/quality of their food, I just wanted to mention it. Overall a great place for clean eats. I may return to try their sandwiches/salads eventually."

"I was really looking forward to trying this place out since I needed to be in the neighbourhood, but it was really a disappointment. At first the server seemed friendly and I decided to get the breakfast sammy, because I wanted to come back and...get a proper coffee and lunch after my appointment. The price was on the chalkboard and it read $4.50 for meat and veggie. I asked for a hot water (to stay) with my food and paid by credit card. After I realized that I had been charged $5.50 which was a dollar more but I figured they maybe hadn 't mark the meat sammy correctly on the board and would mention it after as the staff were talking to each other. The staff turned to engage in conversation with her co-worker and I didn’t get my receipt as there didn’t seem to be a function on the machine to get it. I guessed that I needed to sit down and I waited quite a while until I went up to the counter and explained that I hadn 't been here before and asked if I was supposed to pick up my food at the counter. The woman turned from her conversation to see the little bun sandwich where the kitchen had left it. It was cold but she didn 't offer to heat it up or replace it. I sat down and ate my food which was OK, and as I left mentioned that my bill was a dollar more than advertised and I wondered if the meat “Sammy” was more expensive and suggested they change the board. The woman said smugly, It is a dollar for the water. I was very surprised because it was just tap water in a mug and this is not something that we usually charge for in Canada. It is an exceptional charge that no one would expect and I said this. I asked, But why wouldn 't you let me know that? We don 't do that here. Is that price advertised? and she said, I will have to list it on the menu. Because she charged me for water with GST without it even being listed (by her own admission) on the menu! The place has very cute décor and the breakfast fare seemed the same as many other places. I had only had positive expectations of the venue, but I was startled how they treat you as a customer."

"Well I'm writing a review because I have been reading some of these reviews and I live in the hart of downtown and I do eat in the westin lounge alot alone and with friends for the past few years now and these hits to the staff like the doorman well I see things in a different light they always greet me (by name) open the door for me and will start up small chat If I recall last summer they had a different staff and yes nothing against the team now but they where more full of life and always seemed happy and to my understanding the GSM'S where different maybe treated them with more respect and didn't over load them with work like I use to see the old GSM's help parking cars when then there was a back up I think the old ones showed more repect and that make a world a difference and this may be the reason why most of the good characters you had have gone to new things I have seen the new GSM's and they have never looked at me or said hello to me and Taylor i think her name is has a attitude on her and I can see why the staff is getting grumpy anyways the point of me writing this is I feel the Westin is one of the best hotels in Edmonton but the bellman do the best they can with what they got and I think The GM needs to look at how the GSM'S treat their staff because I'm there alot and they do a dam good job and I'm sure they don't hear that offend"
