"The Veggie Patch Van, with its overhanging herbs, leaned thoughtfully on its haunches like a large plant reclining in the sun. Probably taking a brief respite from preparing all that seasonal produce sourced from local growers. It takes a lot of effort to move things from paddock to plate. More importantly, the van runs on recycled vegetable oil and the cooking is powered by solar panels. Way to make you feel bad about your own efforts to save the world."

"I've been to Est twice- for the dinner tasting menu and lunch à la carte, so my review below is based on both experiences.<br>

Service is fairly good. Staff are largely attentive, helpful and friendly, although there were a few instances of forgetting our requests.<br>
<br>
Ambience and decor are very nice, creates a lovely setting to relax and catch up with friends. In the day especially, the light pours in through the tall windows and creates a lovely bright mood.<br>
<br>
Unfortunately the food and drinks can be a hit or miss. Some of the dishes were quite nice and some really were not (found quite a few to be too salty, too dry). Some of the cocktails were not great either (e.g. mine tasted too similarly to Thai green curry for my preference!)<br>
<br>
Overall-- Est is great for service, ambience and environment, but you'll find better food and drink elsewhere."

"Great ambience for saturday nite if you want to spend the night in darling harbour. I've tried the crocodile meat burger, I was challenged at first but it tastes wow enough ???????? similar texture with chicken and the pasta also delicious and smells good."

"Best cocktail bar in Sydney for mine. I love this place. Bartepers are no case, tailor-made seasonal and traditional cocktails and a mere token food menu. Grief
Not the cheapest cocktail safe, but a fine balanced good is hard to find. Let the team recommend something on the basis of their preferences and look forward to."

"Came here for a Baiju tasting class with Moutai (China's national drink). By golly Moutai is preeeettty strong! Holy moly! I tried it in a cocktail called the Golden Dragon spritzer and it made it very easy to drink. A few food samples were also provided so i got to try the chicken dim sum, salt & pepper calamari, the spring rolls that were massive and the pork dumplings! All food was soo tasty and hot! (oven hot) The interior of the place has a bright neon lighting in the ceiling which almost makes me think i'm in a club in Hong Kong. Knowlegeable bar staff with tasty cocktails to boot! Last time i visited they had jelly fish but now not too sure if they are still there!"

"Favourite yum cha place in all of Sydney. Love coming here after any kind of running event my friends attend..City2Surf, Half Marathons, fun runs, Full Marathons, etc. Anything that ends in the city before midday is an excuse to have yum cha here. <br>

There is a good flow of food, the waiters are typical Chinese restaurant waiters - they're not rude per se, but they're definitely not friendly. Don't expect a smile, but damn they're efficient.

"My friend and I came here for her birthday and we were not disappointed. Yes, it's pricey, but the food is very delicious. The Korean/Japanese influence is obvious, and the taste is yum, yum, yum! From the Matcha fries, to the Poke Salmon salad, to the one-off dessert we ended our feast with (celebrating VIVID festival in Sydney), we were completely satisfied and happy with all dishes. Service was great, and the booking process was perfect. I will be back!"

"Glad we found this on Happy Cow, as there were a ton of options. We went for the Chicken Sandwich (burger) and the mock chicken was dead on. Totally solid. The mac and cheese was decent, it ate more like the boxed kind but when you need mac and cheese, you need mac and cheese. The service was outstanding as well."
