"Christmas Day lunch. A short walk from our friends' home. Not sure what to expect in a modern building on a new town/estate... Well! Superb from start to finish! Staff, food, atmosphere, outside eggie plot gardens... all superb! We were shown to a family size table, greeted with a glass of prosecco a huge hi! from the chef at the window. Our lovely Lithuanian blonde lady McKenzie our Northern Irish server were both gorgeous. As was the food and wines. We chose a Georgian orange wine (among others) as we'd visited Georgia done a wine tour. My duck was superb. And I loved the potatoes boulangere. Mum went mad for the Yorkshires. All delicious, plentiful we were spoilt. Veggie/ vegans well catered for too, the arancini were yum. One of our party couldn't join us (tested Covid positive) but his lunch was carefully wrapped up to take home. How kind. Thank you hope the photos do justice "

"Came here for a works luncheon and we didn't leave it was so good. Food was lovely and cocktails were so refreshing. The back garden has cover for when you are eating and then you can sit in the sun until you are reluctantly ready to leave. Looking forward to returning..."

"The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The drinks are priced reasonably, in line for the area , and their cocktail offer is the best for miles around. They take a tough line on anti social behaviour, I have seen first hand the staff professionally eject people (speedily) whom are behaving unpleasant it’s quite rare that they need to do this, but it means you can rely on the pub maintaining a safe, sound and top atmosphere. The premises are massive it’s like The Tardis and great tunes inside. Highly recommended."

"We came as a group on Sunday as we do every Sunday. Had lamb and beef roasts and was so tasty as usual! Big thank you to Tara and Rosemarry for their wonderful service! Recommend to all age groups for any occasion!"

"Cheap and my breakfast was ok. so all in all it was good. They do cheese on toast in the mw so they were not as good. They don't have alternative milks. My eggs, beans, mushrooms and bubble were nice and only paid £5 for...it. So yes I would probably be back for a quick English breakfast."

"Loved the gospel choir they created a fab atmosphere and everyone got involved! Make sure to ask for a table at the front if you want to see them, as some tables at the back had to stand near the bar in order to...see. We had the chicken royale to share between two which was and lots of food but not that tasty. Even the gravy and rooster sauce that came with it weren’t spicy enough for my liking. Limited cocktail menu on a Sunday but loved that they were able to make any cocktail you wanted provided they had ingredients, which they did for mine. Great setting and service v friendly but for lunch for (one chicken main to share, cocktails and pint) was a bit overpriced. Good for special occasion."
