"Hotel Restaurant Blume is in Birsfelden, just across the river from Basel. It is a nice little neighborhood restaurant with two rooms, one side is a bar/restaurant and the other side is table and chairs for dining. I ordered the Rahmschnitzel (breaded veal with a...mushroom gravy) and my husband ordered the Schweinschnitzel (a pork steak) also with a mushroom gravy. They both came with noodles and some vegetables and were very good. Prices are high in Switzerland, but this meal was fairly reasonable. The futball (soccer) game that was being played in Basel was on the TV in the bar and there were a lot of folks enjoying that."
