"On one hand you can get it all from pizza to buffet to bowling. Good food at a good price does not make the list though. The buffet was not great. Mushy pasta, jello desserts that had seen better days. $12 for kids and you don't even get a drink with that. The BLT was okay. Convenient if you are staying in the neighbouring hotel but, if you are staying there, make sure you bring a car :-) so you're not stuck."

"When we travel, my wife and I try to eat at places that local to the area and not chains that we have in our city. Joe Beeverz was intriguing just by the name. Our waitress, Robin, was excellent. She gave us a rundown of the menu and some of the history of the restaurant, telling us everything is Canadian on the menu; hence, the bacon cheesecake. It's a sports bar so if you go on a big game night it could be loud and rowdy I suppose, but we were there on a Sunday night and it was family oriented and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I had the Blue Bomber burger platter which had blue cheese crumbled on top. I didn't realize it had jalapeno peppers throughout the burger so it had a "kick" to it but it was delicious. I'd have that again. My wife had a salad and hamburger spring rolls, complete with mustard, relish and ketchup condiments to put on them. Weird but wonderful! The whole menu is full of surprises like that and we'd definitely go back again to try something different. Whomever started up this restaurant, with a Canadian flare, and took a chance with the different menu items was spot on. It was excellent. Try it the next time you're in Brandon. You won't be disappointed, but read the menu carefully in case you don't like hidden surprises like jalapeno peppers in your burgers."
