"We found our own seats and were then greeted by a waiter. I ordered the fun burger which was a nice change and delicious as a crumbed portobello mushroom. The meat on my husband’s burger was great texture. The burgers came out really quickly too."

"I've been ordering Halim's through uber eats. The curries are aromatic and flavorful, unlike a lot of the other vaguely scentless curries I commonly find elsewhere. They always arrive hot via uber eats. I managed to take photos today before diving straight in. The curry buffet spread in the photo includes vegetable dhal, eggplant curry, lamb biryani, palak paneer, and chicken dhal. I also received a small container of raita. Normally, each curry is accompanied by a container of rice. I just got 2 containers of rice with my 4 curries today. I've queried this with uber eats and hope to find out what the deal is soon."

"So, met up with a few reviewers tonight for a nice dinner....ok we had burgers.....ok so we may have entered a burger eating competition????????

Now when you hear the words "burger eating competition" you automatically think MASSIVE PORTIONS, but unfortunately it wasnt like that, the burger was really small but actually really tasty, the patties weren't dry, beautiful amount of cheese but needed more chilli, didn't find it till I reached the bottom of the burger. Not a fan of the chips, they weren't cooked properly but the funny thing is had plenty of time to make a fresh batch before serving our meal. Love the location of this place, truly underground and American- would I go back, yes!!"

"Can not recommend enough! the portion sizes were impossible for me to finish, which was absolutely incredible value ratio, if you look a block away, I pay twice for half the amount and quality. the menu was massive and has really interesting options and aromen for chicken wings and burgers that I always come back to try them all. the personal is really friendly and the waiting time is quite short with all the things in consideration, and I have only experienced a longer waiting period (which was still under minutes) when the place was busy, what is understandable. it is my regular place to eat!"

"Woolly Mammoth Ale House was first introduced to me by a craft beer enthusiast early this year. The large selection of micro brews on tap and fun, chilled out vibe has prompted me to revisit. Drinks are good, but how about their food offerings? With that question in mind we made our way here for weekday dinner. <br/ <br/ It was a quiet night with only a handful of diners around. Our waiter/bartender greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table near the craft beer bar (oh god… . With a brew in hand, I started reviewing their menu. The simple two pager consists the usual bar restaurant offerings, but look closely and you will find Asia inspired fusion and interesting combinations. With only a light lunch, I was ready to indulge. Between the three of us we ordered: popcorn chicken, salt pepper squid, USA pork ribs (full rack , wagyu rump steak and sweet potato chips.<br/ <br/ Popcorn chicken: large bite size thigh pieces lightly crumbed drizzled with lime caramel sauce, paired with kimchi, roasted peanuts rockets. The meat was crispy on the outside and consistently tender inside. The lime caramel drizzles on the other hand lacked flavour and overly sweet. The house made kimchi was lightly pickled, mildly flavoured with an appetising crunch. 3.5/5<br/ <br/ Salt pepper squid: on capsicum aioli topped with pickled fennel and greens. The thick cut squid was butter soft with a flavourful salt and pepper coating. Capsicum aioli: well-seasoned with hints of capsicum taste. Paired with the crunchy and lightly sour fennel you have a great dish with a good balanced flavour. 4/5<br/ <br/ USA pork ribs: brushed with bourbon bbq sauce, buttermilk slaw and thick cut fries. First impression: big serving size. A bite of the ribs is where the issue begin. The mildly warm ribs were chewy, dry and tasted old. The flavourful bourbon bbq sauce saved the ribs to a certain extent but was overshadowed by the salty taste. Buttermilk slaw was well made but failed to provide refreshment due to the rich white sauce. 3/5<br/ <br/ Wagyu rump steak: served with tarragon butter, fries and a touch of greens. We ordered the steak medium but were served towards the medium rare side. The so called “wagyu” steak was difficult to cut through and was presented on the watery side. The meat was chewy and showed no depth of flavour. The fragrant tarragon butter made the dish easier to eat but the poor quality meat cannot be overlooked. 2.5/5<br/ <br/ Sweet potato: in house rough cut chips topped with aioli. The piping hot chips were served perfectly cooked with a mushy centre. Paired with the well flavoured aioli, you have the perfect snack for downing craft beer. 4/5<br/ <br/ Overall service that night was good. It was refreshing to see the waiter/bartender so patient to explain menu items and the ability to recommend beer pairings for each dish. The lack of staff on the other hand should be addressed. 4/5<br/ <br/ Hint: Focus on the small share plates and snacks. Weekday food deals presents great value for money."

"Popped in here for drinks with friends, the outdoor beer garden is very cool with graffiti murals lining the walls. Great music and very busy. Although we didn't eat here, the smell coming from the pizza kitchen outside was enough to make your mouth water."
