"The weaver is the best freshly prepared food in Macclesfield. The chef is great. The bar staff try their best Alison and Gary run the pub. Alison is a fantastic front of house in the restaurant. The food is to die for. People don't realise how nice the food is. We like to eat out alot but like I say this place is definitely the best in Macclesfield!!! Its a hidden gem!!! Pls visit ignore the pub area you can hide away and enjoy fresh home made food"

"My partner and I were staying at the hotel and decided to get a late dinner here on our first night. The menu looked very appealing, found more than one thing we would've happily had from each course on the menu! So we gave it a go! Very nice starters, good size and very tasty! Our mains were wonderful! Steak and kidney pie for him and Trio of pork for myself and I even considered licking the gravy from the plate it was so well done! Delicious puddings as well, can't fault them! Service was good, as you would expect from this standard but it still feels a bit impersonal, but still very polite and helpful! Enjoyable meal and accommodating as well as it was a last minute reservation we made! Thank you very much!"

"A nice cosy little pub with great food, we were served again today by Holly, she is always on hand to offer great service. We don’t go out too often for Sunday lunch as it is normally disappointing, but the Church House Sutton is worth...a try the Yorkshire puddings are nice and normal looking not like the big ones elsewhere that taste of cardboard, the meat is always tender the roast potatoes are lovely served with buttery mash veg and tasty gravy. The wine and other drinks are very reasonable . There is a large well spaced out beer garden and child’s play area to the rear with a small covered seating area. From next the Oct there is a special food offer for NHS Key workers."

"Tried here as wetherspoons kitchen was closed. It's down a long flight of stairs. Very dated inside. Warmly welcomed by the lady behind the bar. Cash payments only. Only wine they have is Three Mills which is awful cheap wine. Declined and had diet coke....On first sip could tell this isn't the real thing. I said nothing and my daughter commented it didn't taste right either. Carvery meat was very dry, the roast potatoes hard, the Yorkshire puddings are supermarket value range and were inedible at the bottom, mixed veg rather than separate, stuffing was stodgy and the gravy unpleasant. We did enjoy the boiled potatoes. Toilets whilst reasonably clean had no hot water, only one door locked, one of the lights had no bulb, the soap had run out and the hand drier didn't work. We weren't expecting much for £2.99 but this was awful. Apparently school dinners are nicer! Only good thing was the lady behind the bar. Avoid."
