"I was here with my children on the 9th of June! I asked to speak to the chef but he was busy. So thought I'd leave a review. I order a Balmoral burger.. 10 out of 10 eveything was absolutely perfect and loved that now u get the sauce on the bottom of the bun to because I do feel u don't get enough whiskey sauce haha .. the rosemary chips were so amazing. So salty and so crispy! Perfect My daughter order a steak and gravy pie and was almost crying at how amazing the gravy was. Asked me if we could actually get a second haha she said the steak was soft and wonderfully cooked. Pastry flakey and delicious. And that gravy ! She said it was the best pie she's ever eaten and she craved it for around 4 days after haha grenlen king isn't really something to write home about there food is OK. But this visit was amazing. What ever that chefs doing. Keep it up. Will be back again. Can't wait!!!!!"

"As we had previously enjoyed our meal at the Riverside Inn, we decided to return on Thursday, 28/12/23, and I couldn 't have been more disappointed. After being seated, we were informed there hadn 't got chicken nuggets, no soup, and no curry. We both decided we would order fish chips and beans only to be told there were no beans, so we went for the menu standard mushy peas with horse radish fish and chips. The kids had pizza and chips a short while later out came the food and I had asked where was the horse raddish the reply I got was we havent got any on eating the fish chips and mushy peas the fish was soggy the batter was mush on the bottom and the chips and peas were barely warm. The kids ' pizza was floppy and barely cooked. When I complained, she said she was so sorry and gave me a discount. I asked if they had any chefs cooking, and she replied we have two in today. I said, i think they need to learn how to cook as it was appalling. To top it off, the upholstery was dirty and needed a deep clean in the right-hand toilet. There was no toilet seat. I 'm not sure that I would go there again"
