As someone with a gluten allergy I was given a burger (after ordering from the gf menu and being assured by the restaurant) found that it was in fact a normal gluten burger. The bar refunded the tab and gave me a free drink and steak. The pub handled a bad situation well. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1"

"My eating on the other side was delightful, I ordered the crispy suet pastry cake-of-the-day with creamy maic, rich gravy and seasonal vegetables (fresh made) wow, wow and wow again is everything I can say. it was a bark and red wine cake and the meat melted in my mouth."

"Nice pub! Nice staff. Beautiful surroundings. Hot, delicious and fresh food. In the garden are pods that are private and remote. Very nice for a group of 4 to 12 ish. Heating lamps in everyone to keep warm and boy! Do it! Very nice experience! Great job guys!"

"Went for lunch here. Sadly did not “enjoy” service as had to download an app, which didn’t go well and staff appeared off-hand and preoccupied despite the fact they didn’t have to do that much anyway. One man who was clearing tables did smile. My...open sandwich was rather dry. I would not recommend, sadly."

"Stayed on Saturday with my dog. Friendly pub, with a good atmosphere. Basic clean room for a very good price. Breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. Eggs were perfect. If I’m in the area I would definitely stay again."
