"My husband, who lived in Germany for 10 years, explained that restaurants in German department stores were dependably good and reasonable and often afforded pleasant views of the city. In the case of Dinea, he was right on mark. There were six or seven food stations, ranging from a salad bar to pastries, with a long steam-table setup along one wall. We ordered two of the day’s hot specials – Charles, spaetzel with a ragout of chicken breast with chanterelles; me, hunter-style (button mushrooms in gravy) pork schnitzel with French fries. I also assembled a salad from the fresh greens and grilled veggies on the salad bar, and we split a beer as we looked out over the Market Plaza to the Altes Rathaus. The outdoor terrace looked like it would have been pleasant on a cooler day."

"The restaurant is located outside the tourist streams and is worth a visit. Ratsam is a prior reservation. Once you have eaten here, you will definitely come back. An excellent regional good bourgeois cuisine, from vegetarian to fish and meat dishes. There is something for every taste, always freshly prepared and with seasonal highlights. The restaurant is located in an undisputed GDR district, but it should not scare guests from a visit. The price/performance ratio is completely fine."

"The restaurant is located in a beautifully renovated 17th century building. The interior is well done. The waitress was friendly and did her job. We had Tapas: pulpo, thuna in sesamecrust, batatas fritas with aioli, grilled marinated beef, pimientos del padron, meatballs in white wine sauce. Except for the meatballs everything tasted fantastic. Fresh ingredients and freshly prepared. The price is okay. We would definitely go there again. The restaurant is in an already restored building from the 17th century. The service was attentive and friendly. We had tapas: pulpo, tuna in sesame crust, batatas fritas, fried marinated beef, pimientos del padron, meatballs in white wine sauce. Besides the meatballs, everything tasted great. The latter were ok but not our taste. Overall, everything was fresh and well prepared. The price was okay. We like to come back."
