"Wonderful, unmodernised and unpretentious feel to it, but that was about the only thing in its favour!. Vegetarian choice was very poor, though. I wanted a vegetarian meal. They had scrambled eggs with mushrooms and ham on the menu. I asked for it without the ham. The waiter came back five minutes later and said it wasn't possible! WHAT?????!!!!!!!!!!!! Bread not very fresh. I've only not rated it as terrible because my brother had stuffed squid which he said was very good. Service was poor the waiter was more intent on chatting to his mate. We even had to remind him that we'd ordered wine and had to search the place to find him when we wanted the bill. Probably worth going there for a beer because of it's history, but I'd say the food is to be avoided."

"Although the translation of dishes to English leaves a lot to be desired I could not fault the service or the dishes. I started with a dish described as tempura futokami with vegetables and foie gras so I was expecting battered vegetables. As you can see from the photos what I had looked like warm veggie sushi to me topped with a bit of foie grad and with teriyaki sauce. Best sushi I have had! My main course was described as scrambled eggs with pork shoulder and foie gras. Once again it was delicious but surprising as it looked like the Spanish version of ham, egg and chips! Again it was delicious and perfect size. This was the fixed price menu and is highly recommend."

"Looking for a place to have dinner so no daily menu. However you should go and try some of the dishes particularly they have bacalao which is the most Portuguese as it gets. We, being Portuguese : , had some calamares, black porc, and pasteis de bacalao everything very good and the waiter was also very friendly. Beware the dishes are more than enough for one person."
