"American basics done well. The breakfasts here are awesome. The portions are large. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's one of the best breakfast restaurants in Mammoth and it's open year round. It can get very crowded so we show up right when the doors open."

"I 'm giving this 5 stars because I have been coming to Tom 's Place since I was 5 Years old. I 'm now 50. I still travel from Southern CA. at least 15 times a year to come up to fish and enjoy the beauty it has. My dad and I would come up to the Eastern Sierra to fish. We would stay at the old Forbes 40 just down the road. So many good memories. We would always start our day off at Tom 's Place for breakfast and head up to Rock Creek Lake to fish. This was in the mid 70 's. Now it 's 2022. I can tell you, eating at Tom 's Place, I 've had my share of rude waitresses here. A few of which I know are/were family. Being there so many times to eat, I brush it off. I always think of the great memories as kid with my dad. I can still see myself grabbing my fishing pole after we ate fishing right in that pond behind the Restaurant/Store. My dad would always say, What are you doing LOL. The memories I have with my kids going there. The food has always been great. I will always be getting the bacon, eggs and hash browns. Never disappointing even 45 years later. I get that we as customers should always get the service we deserve. Our money/pocket books are what keeps places like this in business. I love the Eastern Sierra. I 've seen a lot of change. Some I agree with. Some I don 't. I do know, Tom 's Place will always be near my heart. Hope the bad reviews don 't sink this ship and that they should know, we as customers are what that have and are. With that said, I 'll always be loyal to this place."
