"We called here to visit relations in Whitworth area from Harden village West Yorks, Really fast food it,s not, but well worth the wait, everything is cooked while you wait, and is superb, The portions are just right, and I have a good appetite !.... We lived in Rochdale many years ago, but back then never found anything as good as this ! Well done ,Please keep setting the standard ! called"

"Your cakes are much too good! lush moreish are the cakes I would use! I'm also addicted to your chicken liver pate. as a hearty tooth, instead of sweet, this is my choice of "feeling pleasure " food. ssh doesn't say it."

"Food really nice and fresh. I had lamb cutlets and was asked how I would like them cooked. Very tasty, I did have to ask for gravy though as the meal may have been a little dry but maybe that's just a personal preference for...me. Veg were nicely cooked and I chose chips which were gorgeous. Service was excellent, the young lad that served us was very polite and friendly. I would definitely go back."

"Had lunch today and it never fails to amaze me how great this place is. It’s not for the faint hearted as the portions are huge but sooooo tasty. A lovely warm welcome is given from arrival, order taken quickly and the foods arrive soon too. The haddock has to be the best around and as we do not live local it really is worth the trip. Look forward to visiting again soon."

"We have been here before and it was a great experience but unfortunately that's not what we got this evening. 40 mins we waited for two meals until I asked where it was. At this point I also asked about a drink that had also not come to the table that we had ordered. The problem seemed to be in the kitchen as the other 3 tables in that room also had issues. Front of house staff could also do with some training as nobody came to check if everything was ok and I had to asked after 15 mins of arriving if I could order. We were ready to leave. Hopefully this will improve! Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3"

"We’ve been looking forward to Sunday lunch having not been since the redevelopment of The Whitaker. What have they done! A pointless reception area. No restaurant just a cold soulless cafe. It’s lost all its charm of the previous lovely bar and bistro style restaurant....I had the roast beef with a cardboard Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese which was dry with no sauce, practically raw broccoli and cauliflower. Inedible. No check back and service was poor. Will not be visiting again. What a shame."

"Not been here before was very pleasantly surprised beautiful decoration and new tables and chairs his not what they might think of by. we had good portions (sausage eibarm with (apparently! small pieces of chips. all well cooked and served by very nice staff member thanks!"
