"I had a vegetable curry and it tasted like tinned vegetable soup. The worst curry I have ever had. My family had chicken tikis and were not at all impressed."

"We visited this pub for an evening meal , firstly the bar and serving staff not only didn’t speak English they didn’t understand it !! I had lasagne whilst hot was dry and tasteless think it was actually mince and tomato, my husband ordered scampi...took the manager to come over to get them to understand we would like some tartare sauce , we had ordered a side of garlic bread this came out as cheesy bread again it took the manager to understand the problem, we had asked them to forget the garlic bread as we were almost finished our meal but it still came out . When my husband asked for a refund on the bread the manager laughed in his face and said “really”. He wouldn’t let my husband speak , didn’t give a damn whether we were happy or not and to get rid of us gave my husband a refund bread was I would not recommend this place even if you were starving!!!"

"It has recently been taken over and has been very tastefully decorated throughout. The food was delicious served with a warm welcome. Great location for walks being close to the Oxford Canal and the Burton Dassett Hills. Well worth a visit"

"What a find . Travelling through Towcester and found this brilliant local pub. Tried the steak pie and the lamb pie and it was piping hot and delicious. Staff very welcoming and attentive . Well done to you all"

"Had something great to eat tonight with amazing company. the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but they get what they pay and this place is worth every penny. I had the pork, with a potato terrarine, roasted nectarin and cauliflower with a very beautiful blue cheese sauce (not sure what the crust was, but it was beautiful.) dessert was a heavenly and white chocolate (the best combination of aroma) biscuits with pistachio ice cream."
