"Went with a friend who had called requested a dish he remembered from his childhood 50 years ago. The chef/owner knew the dish (meatballs in a gravy), updated the sauce to be a lighter version and made it family style for 2 couples. The chef came out several times to chat, brought an extra portion, and was charming. I didn 't think I 'd like German food (having traveled there about 10 years ago and being turned-off by heavy sauces, rubbery meats, etc) but this was so good I wanted more! I had a 10 layer chocolate cake/torte for dessert and when it came out I thought Oh no, it looks really dried out but it was creamy, fluffy, and just perfect. Not sure how long they can hold on-only a few other customers. They need to have a lighted sign at the end of the driveway. The service was outstanding, and the chef was willing to make special requests. Can 't wait to go back!"
