"Popped in for a bite to eat and found steak on the menu,which I thought I would try. The wait staff bragged about how good the new York strip loin was and so I ordered on their recommendation. In all fairness, I don't think steaks are their specialty so average on the beef is perhaps their top game. The beer was real cold, the service, though friendly, lacked quite a bit on timing and delivery. I might return but likely just for maybe wings and beer."

"We stayed two nights at the Coach Inn at Tobermory and found the owners very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and bright and the Inn is convenient for the tours in Tobermory. They offer a continental breakfast, cereal, bagels, toast, yoghurt and coffee, we enjoyed our stay there, David."

"Ordered the schnitzel on Saturday for lunch--maybe that was the problem-it was busy-maybe that was the problem-maybe this was the weekend kitchen----they do breakfast till 3pm--schnitzel was too thin,too small,breading was more like a thin batter,and greasy -could have used a pat down with paper towels--the veg medley and mashed potatoes were OK-it came with a steak knife---why -?I was hoping for the same schnitzel that rated as excellent by other diners--it wasn't what I got.I had asked the server if ordering the schnitzel would challenge the kitchen--she said no--wrong answer.The previous owners consistently delivered excellent schnitzel.This place does well with breakfast items Dont feel like repeating this experience.If the owners read this page please reply."

"This is a usually good place to go..and still is I guess. The owner has jacked the prices to the point that we don't go as much anymore. Example 9 0z wine is $17 bucks, Inn on the Bay is $12 and just as good. The prime rib is now $35 and $44 for the lg size, trouble is the portioning is out of whack. One day the $34 version is almost the size of the $44 version, and, viceversa, works both ways as I have found. But one thing, the draft beer is outstanding, never flat, and always cold, so I can overlook some of the food problems for a good cold draft. Wings and ribs always good, last week the fish and chips were overcooked, dark brown with a heavy skin on 2 small pcs of fish for $20. But the Covid thing may be affecting with help etc so i am willing to keep trying again."
