"We had high hopes before having lunch here on market day recently. Sadly, it was quite a let down. Both of our main courses were cold (one was returned and had evidently been blasted in a microwave when it reappeared) and there was a 45 minute wait between our very average starters and the main course. We did not stay for cheese, pudding or coffee even though we had ordered the menus. This auberge is overrated, expensive and a little bit of a tourist trap when one can enjoy a simple, satisfying and hearty dish in many other establishments within the town centre."
