"We tried this place for the first time this afternoon. It has a casual atmosphere. Good country cooking. Our waitress was efficient and the food was quick and good. Most everyone got the chicken fried steak which was a large sized portion. Cooked to perfection. I tried the adult grilled cheese. The ?cornbread? that it was on was more like jalapeño toast. It wasn?t tea a cornbread consistency. The jalapeños didn?t overpower the sandwich, which is rare for that sort of sandwich in my experience. Kids portions are great! I have three kids: one got chicken strips, one a burger, and one a grilled cheese. All their food came out first which I appreciate! They enjoyed it very much. Fries are hand cut and fresh, along with homemade ranch dressing and good hot bar full of corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. All around great experience, and great value for the price point! We would definitely visit again!"

"This was some of the most delicious BBQ that I have had! The burnt ends and pork belly were my favorites but all of the meats I tried were amazing. The service was great too, very friendly and helpful. You have a new fan, I'll be back the next time I'm in Lubbock!"

"We haven't been to GC since before the pandemic, and before the pandemic, you would already know what to expect. Great selection of food, pleasant waitstaff, and sticky tables. This recent visit was unimaginably different. They seem to stepped up their game with cleanliness and even got a remodel! Waitstaff is still pleasant, and the table wasn't even sticky!"

"We walked in not busy at all a gentleman was standing there waiting to be seated no one came by we were there at least 30 mins and the entire time this man was getting irritated waiting to be seated. I could definitely understand if it was busy but it wasn't so we ended up walking out. It's It's good place to eat but today was just absolutely ridiculous waiting on staff"
