"There are many good reasons Monte Carlo has been around since 1906: the food is traditional (read uncomplicated and toothsome, the bartenders (wearing starched white jackets make superb cocktails for grown ups (no Scooby Snack foolishness here , and the waitresses are completely and wonderfully old school (efficient, attentive, and leaning towards 'Hiya, hon ' friendly . It is impossible for me to pass on the Szechuan Green Beans and merely unlikely that I 'd pass on Charlie 's Kitchen Steak Sandwich. Nevertheless, Scallops Basilic are always satisfying; although the optional heavy cream spoils the lightness of the simple basil, tomato, and white wine sauce. Whiskey Peppercorn Filet is not as black peppery as I 'd like, but it is still totally delicious. Considering the compact yet complete menu, there 's no reason for anyone to go away hungry. Monte Carlo is what it is: unpretentious and unassuming (the appetizer is not swellegant pate foie gras, it 's good old chopped beef liver. It 's food everyone can enjoy, served by a career waitstaff in estimable surroundings a place far, far removed from shopping district eateries."

"My son and I have been here for ten years. We love it! The food is consistently well done, I don't know how chili stayed so close to this restaurant in the store. The prices are excellent, I never had bad service, the vibe is lively, the horseshoe bar is ideal and welcoming when you are in the bushes after a fast night, they host Lil games (such as bingo) and every piece of food we have ever ordered, we were delighted with. Steak bits and green beans are a must!"

"We had our dinner on the terrace. We were back in a corner, so it was quiet and private. The terrace was beautiful. A perfect evening. We both had the Filet Mignon. Perfectly cooked. We had the au gratin potatoes loaded baked potato. Easy. Many parking spaces."
