"Wow, could not believe what happened here last night. I took my wife here, was her birthday and we were visiting here for a family emergency earlier that day. Saw people walking out in disgust?? Went in and the manager had this young teenager telling people they are not taking customers anymore because they had a group of 40 come in and could not handle things. First, whoever you are as a manager, go up to the front yourself and take the brunt of others being disappointed rather than throwing this young girl to the wolves. Second, how do you just close to customers on a Saturday evening? Unbelievable."

"Only thing missing was the waitress , as soon as she dropped off food, did not come back to ask of we needed anything else till later . The food was very good. It is much better than your fast food Chinese."

"As always, the food was delicious; we’ve loyal costumer ever since it was under the railroad tracks. That said, we told our server two different times we had a buy one get one free coupon. When the bill was brought, we were told that we’d ordered from the wrong menu. This wasn’t the first time that had happened. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be going back."

"We’ve eaten at j. Gilbert’s a hand full of times and I will say this was the most disappointing. I ordered a KC strip that was cooked Ok but the steak was still tough and didn’t have great flavor. The better half had a pork chop that was under cookedAnd was extremely fatty. I ordered the sorbet which was horrible. The replaced it for the Creme Brûlée which was fine. For a for two people I expect better. Any chain steakhouse is better"

"We were excited to try firebirds as we are new in the opposite and unfortunately we will not return. we had reservations at 6:30 and came near this time. we ordered wein and the burrata who came in time. the burrata was delicious and gave us high hopes for the rest, but unfortunately the rest of our meal was on the edge of the unbearable. my man ordered the red snapper, which was over boiled, gumy and over salted. the sides were not amusing and tasted as if they were sitting there. that is funny, because from the time we ordered, our food served over an hour. my baja shrimp pasta had not the goat cheese or fresh basilikum and was best lukewarm. we complained what is not style. our waitress said her manager was too busy to talk to us, but she could offer us a free dessert. note our bill was good over $100 and a $10 free dessert did little to compensate for the terrible service and eating. concerning the service, she spent most night talking to the hostess and never asked us if we want another drink, or even fill our empty water drinks, as we sat there for over an hour waiting for our food. would not recommend spending their time or money here."
