"ZAB THAI is great!!! Easily some of the best Thai I have had in Christchurch. While I would LOVE to give them 5 stars, I have to limit myself to 4 as sometimes they are impossible to get hold of. I have been trying to ring to place an order for the last two weeks and just can't get through!"

"Travelling with my parents who are vegetarian.. we ordered the vegetarian red curry and drunken noodles. The food was fantastic and exactly what we needed after a long day of travel and sightseeing. <br/ <br/ The curry (can be shared by two persons) is served with rice (enough for one person) and was full of flavour and spicy enough to make mum and dad happy. The quantity of vegetables in both the curry and noodles was very generous and fresh. <br/ <br/ The location is also great as it is right outside the tram stop if you are doing the hop-on hop-off tram."

"Great authentic Thai at affordable prices. We got the Red Curry, Satay Chicken Roti, we were really happy with the food. The curry was nice and hot so definitely stick with medium or mild if you don't like chilli, heaps of veggies a good size. The satay was the best I've had in a Thai restaurant in a while, and the roti was fluffy hot."

"We've had takeaways from May's Thai several times now and are yet to be disappointed. Thoroughly impressed at the sheer amount of food they put in their curries! While their prices are slightly higher than most comparable shops, I'm yet to feel as though I didn't get my money's worth due to the large meal size, easily enough for two meals. The curries are absolutely spot-on.. I've settled on their take of the Mus mun as my favourite meal, although their pumpkin Wontons come a close second! <br/ <br/ The shop is small and normally quiet with good parking, wait times have never been more than 10-15mins and the staff are always very pleasant to deal with."

"LA Ruby is the place if you want to experience the indigenous taste of Thai food. All the flavours were so authentic and true to its roots. Their Satay gai (chicken served with homemade peanut sauce) is simply delicious. I recommend the Kaeng lenge(yellow curry). The subtle flavours of the pineapple and the bamboo shoots all blended so beautifully..it was sophisticated and comforting an are lots more to enjoy. The staff is amazing. They make sure to remind you every now and then that you are having a luxury dining experience. They anticipate what you want even before you ask. The ambience is perfect for any time to chill around with friends or family .The seating is limited, so do make sure to book a table in advance."

"I ordered the khao Soi, one complaint i have with places that do this dish is they add way too much coconut, or chilli, or lime, or they covert it into a thick curry when it's really supposed to be more of a soup but this one is probably the most reminiscent of the khao soi i had in chiang mai and the flavours were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of lime, cocount, salt, and chilli."
