"I'll give Thai to LA a 2.5. I live near Thai Town, so my standards for Thai food are quite high. However, sometimes I move here with staff as it is convenient to our office. It's typical, passable, neighborhood Thai food. The lunchtime specials are hit and miss, but ok for most part and usually between $7-9 plus tax and tip. When I get here, I usually get the tampon thai with tofu or the yellow curry chicken. I tried the green chicken curry with Vermicelli noodles, and found it really bland. I also tried the combination of fried rice (not a lunch special, was about $9), which was also okay, but not great. As Asian places go on Brand Blvd, I would say that Pho Hut (over the street) does a better job with her Vietnamese dishes than Thai in LA with her Thai dishes. But again, this place is fine, and you can probably find something edible on your menu."
