"We were getting tired of the chicken flavoured sauce in most poutines in our area, and decided to try Fine Poutine Cholesterol. We arrived after 8pm and were pleased to see that the kitchen was still open which is a problem in the Laurentians... trying to find a late night place to eat. The ambiance was nice, the music was not too loud and the place was relatively full. Our waiter was very polite and friendly, and the service was quick. My bf and I shared a large regular poutine and a fried calamari plate. Both were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised that the poutine sauce seemed to be beef based. We asked the waiter and he said he thought there was a port reduction in it as well, but wasn 't 100% certain. The french fry test passed with flying colours. (We always eat a bare fry first to make sure it tastes good and isn 't soaking in fryer oil. Best poutine we 've had in a long time! The prices were reasonable. For the two plates, draft beer and a glass of Italian wine, our bill came to about $39 not including tip. We will definitely be going back."
