"Recently spent 2 nights in the quiet clear mountain lodge and later ate every meal in the lakeview restaurant, which is part of the facility (and also open for the public). On the one hand, this restaurant has the most amazing 180-degree view from the glasshouse mts, over the lake samson and over to brisbane city in the far away. to complement the magnificent view, the food was very good. a small menu that contains some products from the pre-site vegie and cervical gardens. So. what did I eat? first meal I had the 300g steak with potato bread, garlic brokkoli, caramelized wobble and pfeffer sauce. that was a huge, home-style meal and very tasty. my second meal was the prawn and calamari frittura with lemon gremolata and tartare sauce, a side salad and a mountain of chips. this meal was not so great. the garnels were overboiled and I found the lemon gremolata so so so acid that it was unusable; but the kalamari was delicious. my third meal was a delicious and substantial piece of crispy scarlet, with fried fennel and an orange and pistazian cousin...yummo! and my last meal was a very tasty rustic warm chicken salad with grilled carrots, baked tweezers, speck, salat, parmesan and others coated with the prices were also appropriate, so this overall a beautiful culinary experience!"
