"Very good food and great price! A nice touch after the meal was a small bottle of raki and watermelon for the table. Our waiter went above and beyond I left my sweater on my chair and he managed to follow us up one of the side streets to bring it back, so impressed !"

"Our waitress was very nice and sweet and she was not responsible for the terrible meal. But the food was just beyond awful. Our first ever, bad food experience in 9 days in Greece. The Dakos was ok but a very small portion. The shrimp salad was so tasteless and blah but the worst was the 1/2 kilo of lamb chops, it was a chewy hellish experience , I had to give up the cutlery and resort to using my hands, trying to gnaw on the meat now, I felt like some sort of beast, this tactic did not help much either and the battle was over. This was very poor quality meat and we just put it down to bad luck this time for us. Our server asked us how the meal was and we really did not want to sound negative towards her, we mentioned the jerky lamb was inedible. We were given some complimentary Raki and some fruit with yogurt and honey. Never again .. also the 1 star rating was much too high. But google does not have the option for zero stars this seems like a very touristy spot"

"Excellent eating in the heart of the city. they must absolutely try the kantaifi with cheese, the lamb hacks was excellent plus the Sikoti safe was very delicious. it is nice environment to eat during a hot summer day with a cold beer to lunch. the music was also very beautiful and adapted to the environment and the eating. we're safe back."

"Excellent Cretean meal! We highly recommend this restaurant whilst in Heraklion. It’s a short walk from the city centre and totally worth passing other places/ going a bit further afield. We enjoyed the traditional Cretean ways of complimentary bread, dessert and raki ouzo. For main we shared the orange salad and wild goat. We opted for greens with the goat rather than potato, due to the amount of bread that came as an appetiser. The waiter wasn’t keen on this he said it wouldn’t taste good, and we liked his honesty and pride for his food. But safe to say the greens were delicious and everything worked really well for our taste. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant, book ahead, and be ready to eat a lot (there were many things on the menus we were too full for! ."
