"To make a long story short, steak and shake have gone downhill, but their prices have risen. they must now order on a tablet (waitresses no longer exist), they fill their own drinks, have to stand up and go on the counter when they call their number that they eat theirs is ready, and they need to clean up their table when they are finished. they have changed how they do! eating was good and greasy as usual, but the service was incredibly slow and it does not seem that the staff is 100% focused on the customers"

"We are new to Champaign and have been staying in a hotel for the past week before we close on our house. We have had good experiences all week until coming here and having the most mediocre service. Neither her (Lauren) nor the host let us know when they were closing. We ordered our food and drinks. We were half way thru our meal and she brought the check. Didn't ask any real questions about what we needed. I went to ask her for another drink for him and she said we are closed, sorry Never mentioned last call or if she could put in any order for us before last call. We are so used to great service and communicative servers. We are polite and fun everywhere we go. She was clearly not trying to upsale a $5 drink or make sure we were taken care of. She had one other table. Kelen, the other server was the most help. And got him another drink. Not a very good experience at all."

"To now the best coffee we had in illinois. we buy our coffee beans and regularly laugh from pekara. they have a good selection of baked goods. Cheese Danish is our favorite. we tried couples others and they were good too. only grilled cheese was not as good as expected"

"Great vegetarian and kosher dishes walking distance from the University of Illinois campus! The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. If you're in town you should definitely try Aaron's nacho fries or ask him to whip you up one of his veggie burgers stacked with toppings, I promise you won't be disappointed."
